Venue

Geoff stumbled upon Noble Ridge Tree Deck when looking for land to buy for a remote cabin. After proposing to Kate, Geoff suggested checking it out. It was the only one we visited. We were sold as soon as we saw it in person. Thank you to Phil and Pam for building such a beautiful place.

Rings

We made our wedding rings at home. Kate took the 1,000°F mold out of the kiln and operated the vacuum pump while I poured the molten metal into it. This post explains the process.

Vows

We wrote our vows separately, so we had no idea what the other person would say. The only conversation we had was agreeing to keep it short (around a minute). A few days before the wedding, Kate mentioned that she kept thinking of humorous bits and editing them out, as they didn't seem appropriate. I laughed and said I'd been doing the same thing.

Photos

Our wedding photographer was Maria Orlova. We really enjoyed working with her, and she took a ton of great photos. Thanks to Cris & Nichole for recommending her!

Glassware

Kate took it upon herself to make custom water glasses for every guest. She used her Cricut to make names out of vinyl and put them on each glass.

Kate went to thrift stores for months ahead of the wedding to find beer and wine glasses. Guests were encouraged to take glasses home with them.
